How it all began
Pam is the owner of Sobe Brown. As the resident hairstylist for RTE’s Today show, she has styled for many celebrities such as Maura Derrane, Triona McCarthy, Lisa Fitzpatrick, Lisa Cannon, Glenda Gilson, Karen Koster, Aisling O Loughlin, Sinead Kennedy and Rachel Allen to name but a few in Ireland. Internationally, she has styled model Caprice, New York fashion designer Jill Stuart, Soprano star Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Saturday Night Live actress Ana Gasteyer.
Pam spent four years in Manhattan, New York working on the popular Ambush Makeover TV show and with newspapers and magazines such as the New York Times and Lucky Magazine, representing the coveted Upper East Side Alice Haircare salon. She also worked with RSVP and UK Vogue, and alongside Annemarie O Connor and Triona McCarthy for the Irish Independent. Pam also styles for seasonal fashion shows, including promotional work for Brown Thomas.
As a hairstylist passionate about hair for over 17 years, Pam had a vision to create a new concept in hairdressing, to change how clients and hairdressers think about hair. The result was the creation of the concept of Signature Hairstyling. Pam surrounded herself with a like-minded team. She firmly believes that whereas anyone can be a hairstylist, it takes a special team to actually understand the needs and wishes of individual clients because a hairstyle should represent your own personality and style – it’s your Signature. Equally important to Pam is how you experience having your hair done at the salon. She always wants you to leave your Sobe Brown appointment feeling transformed. It’s not just about hair. “It’s a feeling”.
