Pamela Morrissey is the driving force behind her salon “ Sobe Brown“ in Island House, Morrison’s Quay, Cork. Having returned from New York in 2006 where she worked as a stylist for Bumble & Bumble in Manhattan’s fashionable meat packing district and also in ‘Alice’ - a Bumble & Bumble upper east side salon.

Pam opened her dream salon to pursue her own ideas on hairstyling and to provide customers with a luxury salon experience. She brings with her twelve years experience in the industry and an impressive pedigree of work from magazines like “New Woman” and “Time Out NY” to TV shows such as “Ambush Makeover”, Saturday Night Live” and “ Fox News cast. She continues in this vein in Cork working closely with fashion magazines, modelling agencies and photographers in the city.

I have been working in the hairdressing industry for the past 11 years. Through out my time I have gained amazing tuition from the likes of Toni and Guy, Chenynes Hair group, Halo, L'oreal ,Patrick Cameron, Zoo Hair group and recently received the Wella Colour Master Award . While working in Sobe Brown I also work as a session stylist with modelling agencies and national magazines and fashion photographers.


So for any of you ladies looking for a red carpet look from " fun and funky" to "chic and glamourous", feel free to call in for a consultation. I'm available for early appointments on the morning of any special occasions as I know time is so important . Working in Sobe Brown has opened my eyes to a wider world of hairdressing and I hope to continue passing on what I have learned to all my present and future clients .

Training in Sobe Brown has opened my mind to all different aspects of hairdressing.
While working here I have worked alongside stylist's from all different backgrounds which enables me to be creative in everything I do.
Sobe Brown is a salon that thrives on success and education is very important to me. The educators that work here allow me to see both sides of hairdressing, the technical side and the personal side of it.

As i approach my last year in my training I'm looking forward to specialising in cutting and colouring as both of them mean a lot to me personally..

I been hairdressing since I was sixteen years old. Even in school I worked part time in a city centre salon.
When I finished school I went to St. John's College for two years to study hairdressing both scientifically and practically.

As I am just about to qualify I find my future in hairdressing is only beginning. I feel confident in all areas of hairdressing as I have had the benefit of being trained by the some of the best Educators in the business.

Throughout my training I have been taught different styles by different educator's which I think will be of value to me in my career as a hairdresser at Sobe Brown.
